The Hollow Day 2 Puzzle Solution: Floor 2 Maze Walkthrough
Complete The Hollow Day 2 puzzle: solve the Floor 2 pumpkin pillar maze, claim the relic, and collect 200 pumpkins in Dandy's World for all Day 2 UGC rewards.
The Hollow Day 2 puzzle asked you to align six stone pumpkin pillars inside the Floor 2 playhouse maze: rotate every pillar until its carved face pointed inward, pull the lever once the beams met at the center, and escape with the relic to earn the Witches Brew-nado. That maze run was only one of Day 2’s three challenges — the day also sent players into Dandy’s World and Ao Oni Nightmare for two more UGC items. This walkthrough covers all three, step by step.
What Was the Day 2 Puzzle in The Hollow?
The Hollow was Roblox’s platform-wide Halloween event for 2026, and every day of the run opened a new floor of the shared horror maze. Day 2 unlocked the second floor: a new relic, a new entity stalking the corridors, and a fresh puzzle room hidden somewhere in the layout. The structure never changed — solve the puzzle, claim the relic, and get back to the elevator in one piece.
Day 2 also highlighted two partner games, each with its own quest and item. Here is the full set of challenges the day offered:
| Challenge | Location | Requirement | Reward |
|---|---|---|---|
| Floor 2 maze puzzle | The Hollow hub | Solve the pillar puzzle and escape with the relic | Witches Brew-nado |
| Dandy’s World quest | Dandy’s World portal | Collect 200 pumpkins | Reeling Petal Garland |
| Ao Oni Nightmare quest | Hidden room on Floor 2 | Collect 50 pumpkins and finish three classes | Fuwatty Side Satchel |
Each challenge also awarded its own badge. The Hollow closed all item claims at noon Pacific on November 2, 2026 — the walkthroughs below document how each piece worked.
How to Reach the Puzzle Room on Floor 2
Day 2 started like every hub day: take the elevator in The Hollow’s event hub — near the spinning section — and select Floor 2. The maze re-rolled its layout on every visit, so there was no fixed route to memorize, and the room you were hunting for moved with the map.
IGN’s documented runs put the puzzle room on the right side of the floor more often than not, so making for the far right side from the entrance was the fastest bet. You knew you were close when the corridors opened into something resembling a playhouse. From there, Sportskeeda’s route had you find the blue room with the stairs and climb to the upper level.
The final stretch was a back room full of pillars with a lever along one side. The puzzle room doubled as a safe zone — the floor’s entity could not catch you inside. Outside, Twisted Dandy from Dandy’s World patrolled the maze, and one catch could end the whole attempt.
Day 2 Puzzle Solution: The Six Pumpkin Pillars
Turning around at the pillar room put the rules of the puzzle on the wall as a riddle:
“Pumpkin moon and midnight hour, six stone pumpkins in witch’s power. Turn a stone, its neighbors turn; waste your turn and back they churn. Turn each pumpkin to face its mark, lest you rot here in the dark.”
The room held six stone pillars decorated with Halloween symbols — pumpkins, cauldrons, and brooms. Interacting with any pillar rotated it, but the pillars next to it rotated as well, so every move rippled through the row. The goal was to turn each pillar until its pumpkin face pointed inward toward the center.
The catch was the turn limit. Our event guide documents that you only got 11 turns per attempt — the riddle’s “waste your turn and back they churn” line was a literal warning. The workable approach, as noted in our puzzle overview, was to fix the center pillars first, then use the outer pillars last to lock in the final orientation, checking after each turn how the neighbors shifted.
When all six pillars faced their marks, each one emitted a glowing beam from its base toward the center of the room. Pull the red-handled lever and the floor’s relic was yours. The last leg was the sprint back through the maze to the starting elevator, relic in hand and Twisted Dandy still on patrol — getting caught here meant starting over. Reach the top and step out, and the Witches Brew-nado back accessory was awarded on the spot.
Dandy’s World Challenge: Collect 200 Pumpkins
The second Day 2 badge lived in Dandy’s World. The portal sat at the center of The Hollow hub; stepping through put you in the game’s lobby, where the event area was marked with an orange door and glowing signs and arrows. Behind it, you picked a Toon and joined rounds alongside other players.
The objective was to gather 200 pumpkins scattered around the floor. The core loop of a round was completing Machines — tube containers that dropped ichor as you interacted with them, slowly filling until the machine finished. A quick-time event popped up while you worked, and you had to click inside the white or gold segments; misses made noise, and the monsters roaming the map came straight for you. Taking hits chipped away at your health hearts, and losing them all meant joining a fresh round.
The number of machines scaled with the player count, and once all of them were done, a timer started: race to the elevator and leave before it ran out, following the guide arrow under your character. Every pumpkin stayed with you win or lose, but finishing a round paid a bonus of 50 — a full clear was worth far more than a quick grab-and-die. Certain tasks also paid 25 pumpkins each, and IGN’s estimate was three to four rounds to hit the full 200.
With all 200 pumpkins collected, you finished a round to earn the badge, returned to The Hollow, and claimed the Reeling Petal Garland back at the Dandy’s World portal.
Ao Oni Nightmare Challenge: Fuwatty Side Satchel
Day 2’s third item hid behind a secret on Floor 2 itself. Beside the puzzle room was a hidden door into a distorted Japanese-style school — twisted floors, bent corridors, and warped classrooms — with the Ao Oni Nightmare portal inside.
This challenge asked for 50 pumpkins on top of simply finishing. Pumpkins were scattered across the school’s first and second floors and in the hallways, with certain mini-games paying out more. The penalty was harsh: getting caught by Ao Oni cost you every pumpkin collected during that run, so slow and careful beat fast and greedy.
Three classes had to be completed to finish the challenge:
| Class | What It Involved |
|---|---|
| Search | Find five dolls and bring them back to your classroom |
| Gym | Dodge incoming waves and survive for a set duration |
| Escape | Clear a fast-paced obstacle course — this class had no pumpkins |
Most players needed several runs to bank all 50 pumpkins and complete the three classes. Finishing awarded the Ao Oni Nightmare badge, but the UGC item sat back in The Hollow: return to Floor 2 with the elevator, find the hidden school room again, and press E at the pedestal beside the portal to claim the Fuwatty Side Satchel.
